Richard Cooey Says He's 'Too Fat' To Be Executed
Richard Cooey is looking for his obesity to save him from being executed by lethal injection. He and his lawyers are arguing in Federal Court that Ohio executioners will have a hard time finding his veins and that he won't be properly anaesthetised when he faces execution for raping and killing two University of Akron students in 1986.
Cooey faced execution for the same crimes five years ago and got a stay of execution based on his "poor vein" condition. He maintains that he's only gotten fatter since then.

His execution is scheduled for October 14, 2008.
