You can't say John McCain isn't doing his best to appeal to voters. McCain is in Sturgis, speaking to a large group of bikers. While there, he noticed they were having a beauty pageant. He volunteered to have his wife enter.

"I was looking at the Sturgis schedule and noticed that you have a beauty pageant and so I encouraged Cindy to compete," said McCain. "With a little luck, she could be on the only woman ever to serve as both the first lady and Miss Buffalo Chip."

The Buffalo Chip is a classy annual event. This year's entertainment includes Victoria Moreno a.k.a. Lady Victoria and three other professional women wrestlers. They'll conduct twice daily oil wrestling.

I take it Cindy hasn't yet agreed.
