Michelle Obama Wears Short Shorts
A picture of First Lady Michelle Obama wearing shorts has drawn the wrath of fashion police and the ire of people who don't support her husband's policies or her sense of recreational dress.
In what promises to be a very short-lived meme, Obama was spotted along with her daughters at Grand Canyon National Park wearing the offending attire.
People are weighing in on both sides of the issue, with usual vitriol.
In the one camp are those that think it's disgraceful the First Lady would be so dressed down. In the other camp are those who think it's no big deal and that the First Lady, like the rest of us, should be comfortable on a hot summer day.
Personally I have to side with her right to wear shorts. From June through the end of September, shorts are the only clothes I wear.
Now if she starts wearing shorts in Washington and January, then we might really have a matter of national interest on our hands.
