Richard Hatch Arrested - For Being Gay?
Survivor winner Richard Hatch has been arrested again, just hours after appearing on the Today Show where he was interviewed by Matt Lauer.
Hatch is currently under house arrest at his sister's house in Newport, Rhode Island. He was re-arrested there, after his appearance on the popular morning television show.
Hatch brought up that he felt he might have been arrested in the first place because of his sexual preference. Matt Lauer wondered aloud if that had something to do with his newest arrest.
Roy Lyons, Public Information Officer of the Barnstable County Sheriff's Office in Bourne, Mass had a simpler explanation. He said Hatch was arrested again because appearing on television is a violation of his parole.
Hatch's sister, who spoke on his behalf, said he had permission to be on the show.
What is your opinion? Is Hatch a political prisoner who is being hounded because he's gay? Or is he merely a tax avoider who ignored his parole and is now paying the price?
