Victoria Osteen Trial

Victoria Osteen is being sued by Sharon Brown because of an incident that occurred on an airplane. Victoria Osteen is the wife of famed Christian preacher Joel Osteen. Osteen is the head of the Lakewood Church in Houston, which owns that city's largest congregation.

The incident which prompted the lawsuit happened when the Osteens were traveling from Vail, Colorado to Houston, Texas in 2006. Sandra Brown was working on the flight crew at the time. According to her, Osteen became extremely pushy and rude when the airplane wasn't cleaned to her specifications.

She was alleged to have elbowed Brown as she attempted to breach the cockpit. Osteen ended up having to pay a $3,000 fine that was leveled by the FAA.

"This is nothing more than an attempted extortion," said Rusty Hardin, Victoria Osteen's attorney.
