3 sailors missing in Vancouver
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 13 (UPI) --
Authorities searched English Bay in Vancouver, British Columbia, Monday for three cargo ship crew members who vanished.
Lt. Cmdr. Gerry Pash of the Joint Rescue Coordination Center in Victoria, told the Vancouver Sun three Bangladeshi men, ages 22-25, disappeared from the MV Ginga Falcon overnight.
The hunt for the men included search and rescue officials, police and the Canadian border patrol, the Sun said.
Pash said the freighter, flying under a Panamanian flag, arrived in Vancouver about 9 p.m. Sunday and anchored about a half-mile off Locarno Beach. The men were noticed missing when they failed to report for duty Monday morning.
