Shelley Malil Arrested For Attacking His Ex-Girlfriend With A Knife

Shelley Malil, who played the part of an angry Indian named Haziz in the hit film 40 Year Old Virgin has been arrested for attacking his ex-girlfriend and a companion with a knife in her San Marcos, California home.

The alleged event took place at around 9 PM on Sunday. According to reports, Malil stopped by the unidentified woman's home and found her there with another man. Malil then grabbed a knife and stabbed her as many as twenty times. When her male companion tried to assist, he stabbed him, too.

Malil was taken into custody shortly after 6 PM at the Oceanside Amtrak Depot, where he was on a Southbound train. He was arrested for suspicion of attempted murder, mayhem and burglary. When he was taken into custody he said he was on his way to meet his lawyer in San Diego county, California.

Malil resides in Sherman Oaks and immigrated from India to the United States in 1974.

His victim has two children that were at the home at the time of the attack. She is expected to survive, despite serious injuries.
