Lil Wayne ordered to pay for jewelry
Chart-topping Lil Wayne has been ordered to pay $146,000 to a New Orleans jeweler.

Reports indicate that Lil Wayne, aka Dwayne Carter Jr, purchased a diamond ring and necklace from Jack Sutton. He took the merchandise and was supposed to make payments on the merchandise. He only paid one time for $24,000 and never paid the rest.
The case was settled yesterday in Miami-Dade County court, with Sutton winning against Carter. Carter has now been ordered to pay the $146,000, plus 11% interest to Sutton.
Instead of making the payments, Lil Wayne can return the ring instead. Sutton expressed pleasure that the case was settled. Lil Wayne has been riding high commercially with the success of his Tha Carter 3.
Lil Wayne, as the author of "Money On My Mind", should have expected that Sutton would want to be paid for his efforts.
