Britney Spears is really putting on the nice act

Britney Spears might just win the mother of the year award, if a new article in OK! Magazine is to be believed. The singer, formerly known as the troubled pop star adorns the cover of that illustrious periodical clad completely in white! Not only is Britney attired in the color generally reserved for virginal brides and angelic beings, but so are her two rugrats. It's as if the whole family lives in Heaven in a special department reserved for sainted entertainers.

Just one year ago Britney was stealing lighters at 4:00am when she stopped at the liquor store to buy another bag of Doritos. Now she's the cover girl for mothers everywhere. She says her boys, Jayden James and Sean Preston, are looking forward to meeting their new cousin, Maddie.

"She's going to come out here for the kid's birthdays," said Spears in the article. "It will be the first time the cousins meet. I'm sure the boys will be like big brothers to Maddie."

Right now this new domestic tranquility has Britney poised to make a comeback in the music business. She's been getting in shape and is set to return to the MTV VMAs, which were a huge source of embarrassment to her just one year ago. But one can't help wonder if just below the surface, a time-bomb is ticking that will explode and send Britney back to being the train-wreck all of us have gotten to know so well.
