Authorities in Montgomery County, Pa., allege a self-described white supremacist posted threatening messages on his Facebook page.

KYW-AM, Philadelphia, reported Monday James Gallagher of Wyndmoor, Pa., is being held on $1 million cash bond on unspecified charges stemming from alleged threatening messages posted online in August.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman alleges Gallagher, 22, threatened on his Facebook page to engage in shootings in Springfield Township, Pa.

"He was threatening to shoot up Springfield, to just really cause massive destruction to the local community, and he had significant firepower," alleged Ferman, who added Gallagher also posted photographs of himself with multiple rifles.

No motive for the alleged shooting threats was reported.

Authorities said a search of Gallagher's home allegedly resulted in the discovery of white supremacist materials along with ammunition and an unspecified number of guns, KYW reported.
