Rumors of breast enhancement for Ali Lohan drive Lindsay Lohan to lash out

Ali Lohan has stated that she wants to be a star more than anything in the world. In our culture, being a female and being a star often means 'you'll do whatever it takes' to look sexy, up to and including cosmetic surgery. Therefore, when online pundits spotted Ali sporting larger than expected cleavage, many commented she may have had surgery.

Her big sister Lindsay Lohan was asked about the possible surgery, and she was very offended by the mere suggestion. She took to her MySpace blog to answer the question.

"It made me feel a bit sick to my stomach," she writes. "My response simply was, 'Did you really just ask me that? She is a 14-year-old girl, and you are a pedophile!' All I am trying to say is that I was raised with a wonderful family surrounding me. Of course, we have our ups and downs, but all in all, my mother taught us to appreciate what we have been given. Nor would she ever encourage, or allow a 14-year-old child to alter her body."

Frankly, I think that Lindsay is a bit off base with her accusations. There are several reasons that people might assume Ali had her breasts enhanced. First, she's a Lohan and she appears on reality TV, meaning she's being pimped out by her mom. Second, she has expressed the desire to do what it takes to become famous. Young women succumb to such pressure every day and often alter their appearance as a reaction. Lastly, her breasts appear to be bigger in side by side comparisons. Of course a growth spurt or a push up bra could explain it, but you can't blame people for talking. Both Lindsay and Ali wanted to be famous. So deal with it!
