Dark Knight star Christian Bale will not have to face assault charges
Christian Bale, star of the box office leading Dark Knight will not have to stand trial on charges he assaulted his mother and sister. The incident occurred at the Dorchester Hotel on July 20

British prosecutors dropped the case because they didn't have a "realistic prospect of conviction."
Basically it was a case of she said, she said, he said. The mother and sister claimed that Bale assaulted them on the opening night of the European premier of "The Dark Knight." Bale denied the charges.
The police didn't seem sure of the case from the beginning. They waited 24 hours to question Bale and the released him bond after a few hours of questioning.
Now Bale is free to go and resume his career as an actor, which is on fire after his recent performance as Batman.
