Phelps 100m Butterfly Video
Michael Phelps won the 100 meter butterfly event by 1/100th of a second. With the win, Phelps moved tied Mark Spitz for the most gold medals in one Olympics game.

So far Phelps has been unstoppable, although a few of his races have certainly caused people to have heart palpitations. Phelps, for his part, was quite excited about his win.
"It was almost too close to see," Phelps said. "One one-hundredth of a second is the smallest margin of victory in our sport. I guess it's pretty cool."
Phelps should be excited, with the win he now qualifies to receive a $1 million bonus from his sponsor Speedo. Phelps still have one event to go, the 400 medley relay, which happens tomorrow. If he wins that one, he'll beat Spitz' record, which at one was thought impossible.
