Bigfoot - Latest News

The Bigfoot Autopsy is next on the agenda for the Bigfoot Hunters

The veracity of two Bigfoot hunters is called into question as DNA evidence turns up inconclusive.

Matt Whitton and Rick Dyer continue to insist they have the body of Bigfoot in an undisclosed freezer. During the Bigfoot Press Conference they held on Friday in Palo Alto, California, nothing they said or offered as evidence did anything to convince the skeptical crowd. That hasn't stopped the two from promising a Bigfoot Autopsy, again to be performed by an unspecified person at an unspecified time. But right now, everyone, including me, will need some real convincing that the unemployed cop and the unemployed corrections officer from small-town Georgia have anything other than a poorly designed website attempting to cash in on the credulity of the gullible.

Here are some problems I have with their case:

  1. The two didn't produce the body at the Press Conference
  2. They showed an email exchange with a scientist that didn't lend any support to their cause.
  3. The event was arranged by Tom Biscardi, who was busted for engineering a Bigfoot hoax in 2005.
  4. Bigfoot sightings almost always took place in the Pacific Northwest, not in Georgia.
  5. They claim that there were three Yetis frollicking around while they secured the corpse of the fourth.
  6. The two wore hats during the interview that had their URL. They run a website that sells Bigfoot merchandise
  7. The two wouldn't reveal the location of the body of Bigfoot or where they found him. Oh, they also sell "Bigfoot tours" for a whopping $499 each.
  8. The photographic evidence is less than compelling. The so-called "proof" is weak by modern digital photography standards.

The list of questions concerning their discovery could go on for days, but I think you could get the idea. The only evidence we have that they actually bagged Bigfoot is because they said so. I'm sure they'll attempt to drag this out for as long as they can, and as long as there are gullible web searchers looking for the story, none of us will have any choice but to continue to report on the frozen Sasquatch.
