Ocean Technology diving masks recalled

WASHINGTON, Oct. 9 (UPI) --

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Ocean Technology diving masks due to faulty visors.

Visors on the Guardian Full-Face Masks can separate under pressure, causing the mask to flood, the commission said in a statement. About 900 diving masks were sold nationwide at diving stores from March 2009 through August 2009 for about $800.

The masks were made in the United States for Undersea Systems International Inc., doing business as Ocean Technology Systems of Santa Ana, Calif.

Consumers were advised to contact Ocean Technology Systems for a free repair.

Consumers can call 877-270-1984 for information.
