Crude oil prices rise Friday

NEW YORK, Oct. 9 (UPI) --

Crude oil prices rose above $72 per barrel Friday as equities turned in a positive day on Wall Street.

Light, sweet crude added 52 cents to $72.29 per barrel. Heating oil gained 0.0133 cents to $1.8661 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline rose 0.0146 cents to $1.7826 per gallon. Natural gas prices added 0.004 cents to $4.774 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline was $2.471 per gallon Friday, up from Thursday's $2.468, AAA said.
