Carli Lloyd Helps US Win Soccer Gold

Carli Lloyd Hits Winning Goal

Carli Lloyd hit the winning shot that pushed the women's US soccer team ahead of Brazil. The shot came at minute 58 of the one hour contest. The 26 year old from Delran, New Jersey hit a 20 yard shot off her left foot which turned out to be all the scoring the U.S. needed.

The two teams tied through the first 30 minutes of play and Lloyd didn't score until the 28th minute of the overtime period.

The win gave the United States their 29th gold medal of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Carli used to have another favorite shot.

In the 2007 Algarve Cup Final against Denmark, a left foot rocket from 35 yards out that hit the under-side of the cross bar and bounced in

I'm guessing this newest shot against Brazil will be her new favorite.
