HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn., Oct. 12 (UPI) --
A Hendersonville, Tenn., woman has been arrested for allegedly violating an order of protection by poking another woman on Facebook, court records indicate.
Shannon D. Jackson, 36, was arrested in September for using an option on the social networking site called "poking" to contact a woman she had been ordered not to communicate with, The (Nashville) Tennessean reported Monday.
The poke feature is unique to Facebook, the report said. It is used to convey a number of meanings, including saying "hi."
An alert pops up in the corner of the Facebook page notifying the user of a poke. Hendersonville police made copies of the page showing the poke.
An affidavit was filed in Sumner County General Sessions Court and Jackson was taken to the Sumner County Jail on $1,500 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court in Gallatin, Tenn., Oct. 28.
