Michael Phelps Could Be U.S. President

One political pundit thinks Michael Phelps can go from the pool to the White House

Michael Phelps can do just about anything, as he proved during the recent Olympics. And now, one political pundit thinks he should consider politics seriously for his next career. Hank Edwards, a pollster from Texas, says Phelps has all the qualities you need to get elected President of the United States.

"Michael Phelps really has got it all from a political standpoint," said Edwards. "He's good looking, intelligent, and has some of the best name recognition in the world. If he gets involved in politics, he can certainly be a big winner, just like he was in Beijing."

It's not hard to believe that somone could leverage their popularity from another endeavor into a successful career in politics. Just look at how well Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ronald Reagan did that.

President Michael Phelps...now wouldn't that be something?
