Neil Diamond Fails To Deliver - Fans Demand Refunds

Neil Diamond's recent concert performance at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio left many of his fans wanting. The 67 year old singer took the stage suffering from acute laryngitis and his concert suffered as a result of it.

According to reports, Diamond took the stage despite the laryngitis and didn't mention his illness to the audience. He continued to sing despite his raspy and hoarse voice. A number of people left the concert early due to his inability to perform to their expectations.

Neil Diamond issued an apology at his official website, it read, Dear Fans in Columbus, Please give me a few days to figure out a way to make it up to you. I haven't let you down before and I wont let you down now. Until you hear from me again remember, You are the sun. I am the moon. You are the words. I am the tune. Forgive me. I love you. Neil.

Fans that wish to be refunded for the concert must put in a request by September 5, 2008. He also postponed upcoming concerts scheduled for August 27 at Green Bay Resch Center and an August 29 date at Scottrade Center St. Louis.

Neil Diamond is a Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and received a Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000.
