Shawn Johnson Gets Rock Star Treatment

Shawn Johnson is getting the rock star treatment upon her return to her native Iowa. The 16 year old Johnson won three silver and one gold medal at the recent Olympics. She became quite famous as her image was beamed out to a giant worldwide incident.

Shawn Johnson was honored at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa last evening. During the celebration videos were shown of Johnson's achievements in the Olympics, and the crowd went nuts for every second of it.

An estimated 7,000 people showed up for the fete, surprising even Johnson herself.

"This is crazy," she said. "Why would you come out here for me?"

Her newfound fame is freaking out Shawn. Recently she met Vince Vaughan, and was surprised that he already knew who she was.

"I went to ask if I could take photos, and I didn't have to introduce myself," she said. "'You're Shawn Johnson,' he said, which kind of freaked me out."
