DALLAS, Oct. 29 (UPI) --
"Jaws," a 1975 film about a great white shark terrorizing a U.S. resort town, ranked No. 1 on Blockbuster's survey of The 10 Most Terrifying Non-Horror Movies.
Nearly one in three respondents to the poll chose "Jaws," the movie rental company noted in a release Thursday. Blockbuster did not say how many people participated in the survey or when it was conducted.
Coming in at No. 2 on the list is "Misery," followed by "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" at No. 3, "Deliverance" at No. 4 and "A Clockwork Orange" at No. 5.
Rounding out the top tier are "Fatal Attraction" at No. 6, "No Country For Old Men" at No. 7, "Requiem for a Dream" at No. 8, "Mommie Dearest" at No. 9 and "Dead Calm" at No. 10.
