ATHENS, Greece, Oct. 21 (UPI) --
A nationwide strike protesting government reforms in Greece brought airlines and mail service to a halt Tuesday.
Millions of Greeks participated in the walkout organized by the GSEE and ADEDY unions, which represent about 2.5 million workers, CNN reported.
Just days before Parliament is to debate the 2009 state budget, union leaders complained about pension reform and tax collection measures, CNN reported.
Workers were also concerned about privatization of jobs, the report said.
