U.S. pop singer and actress Jessica Simpson says her ideal man is spiritual, artistic and intellectual.

Simpson is divorced from recording artist Nick Lachey. She has since dated Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and musician John Mayer.

"I definitely love a spiritual man -- somebody that is going to always inspire me," Simpson told TV's "Extra."

"I don't want to get bored. I can bore out pretty easily, so I love intellectual men ... people that will always keep me intrigued. And, you know, I love artistic men -- somebody that really understands their art."

Simpson said traveling the world this year for her new VH1 show, "The Price of Beauty," helped her cope with her breakup with Romo.

"I couldn't have had this journey at a better time in my life -- to seek out beauty, to seek out confidence, and to seek out the power of a woman," she said.
