NBA: Cleveland 104, Minnesota 87

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 30 (UPI) --

LeBron James scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds Friday in helping bring Cleveland its first win of the season -- a 104-87 triumph over Minnesota.

Mo Williams added 20 points for the Cavaliers. Cleveland had dropped its first two games, including a home loss to Boston to open the season. The Cavaliers lost only two home games all last season.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas chipped in 15 points and Shaquille O'Neal, who's looking to become a sheriff's deputy in the Cleveland area, had six points while enjoying his first win in a Cleveland uniform.

Minnesota was led by Jonny Flynn with 17 points.

Cleveland dominated from the start, opening a seven-point lead after one period and a 10-point advantage at the break. The Cavaliers led by at least 15 throughout the fourth period.
