EDMONTON, Alberta, Nov. 2 (UPI) --
A Canadian man is asking his neighbors to look through their kids' candy after he apparently dropped his wedding ring into a trick-or-treater's bag.
James Fearn of Edmonton, Alberta, said he was wearing his wedding band on his right pinky finger Halloween night due to an injury to his ring finger and the ring must have fallen off while he was handing out candy, The Edmonton Journal reported Monday.
"I was getting handfuls of suckers and chocolate bars and filling up my hands using both hands and I'm afraid this thing was a little on the loose side," he said. "Somebody's got my wedding ring."
Fern, who has been married for 35 years, said he is planning to put up posters asking locals to be on the lookout for the ring in the children's candy bags.
"It's got a hell of a lot of sentimental value, a lot of different memories," he said. "It means an awful lot."
