INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 3 (UPI) --
Chauncey Billups scored 24 points Tuesday, including 5-of-7 from 3-point range, to lead the Denver Nuggets past the Indiana Pacers 111-93.
Leading NBA scorer Carmelo Anthony poured in 25 points for the Nuggets, who have posted a 4-0 start for the first time since 1985-86. It's still four wins short of the best start in Nuggets history, when the 1976-77 team went 8-0 to begin the season.
Nene contributed 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Arron Afflalo finished with 15 points and Chris Andersen pulled down 11 boards in the win.
Dahntay Jones came off the bench to score 20 points to lead the Pacers, who fell to 0-3 on the season. Danny Granger helped out with 18 points and Roy Hibbert sank 14 points with 12 rebounds.
The Nuggets were leading by 12 early in the fourth quarter when Nene and Billups hit two free throws apiece and Afflalo poured in a pair of baskets to give Denver a 93-73 lead.
