NBA: Detroit 85, Orlando 80

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Nov. 4 (UPI) --

Will Bynum caught fire late in the game, scoring 10 of his 20 points in the final quarter Tuesday to help the Detroit Pistons beat the Orlando Magic 85-80.

Bynum had to leave the game midway through the fourth quarter after an accidental hit in the eye by Orlando's Marcin Gortat. But he later came back, hitting a pair of free throws to tie the game at 77-77 and spark a game-changing 10-0 run for the Pistons.

Ben Gordon sank all 11 of his foul shots en route to a 23-point performance for the Pistons, while Rodney Stuckey added 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Detroit used a 10-0 run late in the contest to beat Orlando, the defending Eastern Conference champions.

Vince Carter scored 15 points and J.J. Redick added 14 for the Magic, who lost for the first time after three straight wins.

Detroit forward Tayshaun Prince missed the contest due to a strained lower back, which snapped his consecutive-game streak at 496 games.
