Alec Baldwin And Steve Martin To Host The Oscars
Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin have been selected to host the 82nd annual Oscar Award show.
Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic, producers of the show said, "We think the team of Steve and Alec are the perfect pair of hosts for the Oscars. Steve will bring the experience of having hosted the show in the past and Alec will be a completely fresh personality for this event."
Martin hosted both the 73rd and the 75th Oscar Award show, so he is no stranger to the event. Of his upcoming host gig, Steve Martin said, "I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin."
Alec Baldwin's thoughts were, "I don't play the banjo, but I'm thrilled to be hosting the Oscars - it's the opportunity of a lifetime."
The 82nd Annual Oscar Award show airs on ABC on March 7, 2010.
