Chad Johnson has changed his name to Chad Ocho Cinco, according to reports. The outspoken receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals has always been known for being talkative and creating publicity, and now he wants to be known by his new last name, which is also his number.
"It's something I don't think anyone has ever done before," he said about the name change. "Have I ever had a reason for why I do what I do? I'm having fun."
Bengals officials had no comment about the name change.
Johnson has often been the subject of controversy due to his outrageous ways, so this name change will be no different.
Johnson threatened to leave the Bengals this year, but later on ended up showing for training camp.
How his teammates will react to the name change is anybody's guess. Coach Marvin Lewis won't be too happy. He once referred to Johnson as "Ocho Psycho."
