Kimberly Munley Ends Fort Hood Rampage
FORT HOOD, Tx., Nov.6 (TOTI) --
Kimberly Munley, a 34 year old civilian officer is being credited with taking shots that ended a deadly rampage at Fort Hood, Texas.
Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a psychiatrist, opened fire at the Soldier Readiness Center at the base on Thursday Nov. 5, 2009. The attack left 13 fellow soldiers dead and 31 others wounded. Munley was among those injured.

Nidal Malik Hasan was shot 4 times and is currently on a ventilator at a local hospital under heavy guard. Investigators haven't determined a motive for the attack, but it's believed that Hasan had received orders to deploy to either Afghanistan or Iraq later this month. Investigators are also looking for ties to radical groups that Hasan might have been tied to prior to the deadly attack.
