Sony Vaio Recall
Sony has issued a recall of thousands of its' computers, due to an issue that can cause overheating.
The Sony Vaio recall affects 74,000 machines in the United States, according to the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission. One customer has reported being burned by the computer malfunction.
The recall will affect 440,000 units sold worldwide.
"The issue involves a small number of units which may overheat due to a wiring problem.
Model numbers which are affected include VGN-TZ100, VGN-TZ200, VGN-TZ300 and VGN-TZ2000. Not every unit is affected, but affected models will contain one of these model numbers.
This is the second major recall of laptops so far in 2008.
