Honda Insight - New Honda Hybrid Unveiled
The Honda Insight is considered to be Honda's answer to the highly popular Toyota Prius. The Honda Insight model name has been in use since 1999, but the new Honda Insight seems to be geared at competing with the Prius, and will be unveiled at this year's Paris Auto Show.

The 2009 Honda Insight is being called a concept car by the company. However, this Honda hybrid will likely resemble the FCX/Clarity in a number of ways.
Where Honda (NYSE:HMC) plans on making up ground against Toyota appears to be on price. The new Honda Insight 2009 is supposed to be around the same price as their conventional cars when Honda begins selling the vehicles in spring of 2009. This will be the first time a major car maker has offered the eco-friendly benefits of a hybrid vehicle for roughly the same price as conventional gas engines.
That fact alone will help push consumer interest in the new hybrid.
