Michael Vick Running Out Of Time Quick

by Lupe Lasano in sports

The fall from glory for Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Michael Vick promises to be fast and furious. Reactions are coming in from all over the world concerning allegations of barbaric dog-fighting that took place at his rural mansion, and no self-respecting person wants to be associated with him at this point.

The first casualty is the new Michael Vick shoe that was slated to hit stores next month.

The House of Horrors where cruel QB Vick abused man's best friend

Nike is concerned by the serious and highly disturbing allegations made against Michael Vick and we consider any cruelty to animals inhumane and abhorrent," Nike said in a statement on Thursday. "We do believe that Michael Vick should be afforded the same due process as any citizen, therefore, we have not terminated our relationship. "We have however made the decision to suspend the release of the Zoom Vick V and related marketing communications."

But the controversy hasn't, and won't, end there. Peta has already organized a boycott aimed at making sure that Sick Michael Vick will be sacked quick.

Holding signs that read, "NFL: Sack Vick" and "Tackle Cruelty," and posters showing a pit bull used for dogfighting, PETA members will converge on NFL headquarters in New York tomorrow to demand that the league suspend Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick. Vick was indicted by a federal grand jury on Tuesday on a conspiracy charge related to his alleged involvement with dogfighting, including the killing of dogs who "did not perform well" by hanging, slamming them to the ground, drowning, and electrocution. The activists will also hand out stickers.

There were 60 pit bulls found on Vick's property in April, and the breed is almost always used for dog fighting.

The charges against Vick are truly deplorable, as evidenced in this statement from Peta:

"These dogs didn't stand a chance. Pit bulls were allegedly hanged, slammed to the ground, electrocuted, and shot. The NFL needs to send a strong message right now by sacking Vick," says PETA Vice President Bruce Friedrich. "Anyone who could force a dog to fight to the death should be kept away from all vulnerable forms of life, like children and animals. Dogfighting is a coward's blood sport that deserves harsh punishment, no matter how famous the alleged perpetrators are."

All good people of the Earth are united in their contempt for the depraved way in which this over-compensated and under-appreciative young man has behaved. The allegations go all the way back to 2001, in essence his entire NFL career. While operating on the football field and pretending to be a person who understood the basics of competitiveness and fair play, he was 'executing' dogs who lost fights with other dogs.

Same to you, Canine Serial Killer

Michael Vick lost many a football game in his under-performing career, and he never received this type of serious sanction when he failed. But he mercilessly executed dogs who didn't "test" well as part of his perverse and disgusting sense of ethics.

I commend PETA on their condemnation of Vick's actions, and hope that all pet-loving and humane NFL fans will demand that this beast of a player is never allowed to step foot on a football field in our or his lifetime.
