The government in China has a funny way of dealing with low-quality products manufactured within their borders. They are placing the blame on the US companies that exported the products and not the Chinese companies that manufactured them.

The General Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said the restrictions on Lee Der Industrial Co. Ltd. and Hansheng Wood Products were temporary, but did not give any details.
"They have been asked to evaluate and change their business practices," the administration said in a notice on its Web site.

Two toy manufacturers ran into trouble because of using lead in the paint they used on the toys. This could be avoided by more stringent design standards according to officials.
