Now, I don't plan on arguing about marijuana use from an ethical stand point. I'm sympathetic to the cause, shall we say? But in the case or Ricky Williams I have to seriously question his sanity. Ricky has literally cost himself millions throughout his career because of his reefer madness, and he's just been suspended again.Ricky Williams Career Up In Smoke

Ricky Williams may have puffed on defeat for the last time

Dolphins running back Ricky Williams tested positive for marijuana in April, and won't be allowed to re-apply for reinstatement until September at the earliest, a league source confirmed this morning. Williams, suspended a year ago, had applied for reinstatement just before the recent NFL Draft and had expressed confidence that he would be reinstated. The latest failed drug test, which was first reported by ESPN.com, represents Williams' fifth violation of the NFL's substance-abuse policy. Once a player tests positive three times, he is subject to a suspension of at least one year for each subsequent violation. But since Williams tested positive while he was suspended, it is likely to be considered part of rehabilitation. Both the Dolphins and the league, through spokesman Greg Aiello, had no comment. They cited the confidentiality of a player's status in the NFL substance-abuse program.

In the case of Ricky Williams, it's starting to look like he's just not getting the message that the NFL drugs tests him! I can't picture the scenario where he's sitting around smoking up yet feeling comfortable enough to take a piss test.
Folks, if you want to save Ricky Williams' quickly diminishing career, I suggest you send me some ideas on how he can pass his next "whiz quiz". What can Ricky do (besides quitting which he just won't do) to avoid getting caught smoking marijuana?

He should just quit. He isn't taking his career in football very seriously, and he makes a lot of $$. They should disbar him from the NFL if he brings back another failed test!
