Kiefer Sutherland Faces Formal Charges In DUI Case

Keifer Sutherland has now been formally charged in his DUI case. The actor on the popular TV show "24" was first pulled over on September 24th.

His arraignment is set for Oct. 16. According to a legal source, Sutherland has hired attorney Blair Berk, who is also currently representing Lindsay Lohan.
The actor's rep wasn't immediately available for comment. A spokesperson for 20th Century Fox Television, which produces 24, said Friday that for now, the news of the charges has no impact on the series.
Sutherland was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in the early morning of Sept. 25 in Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles police department.
Sutherland is the latest in a long line of celebrities who head out on the highway looking for adventure right after pounding the old brewskies. So far we've seen celebrity justice being meted out on the timid side. Will Sutherland continue the trend of getting a light sentence because he's a Hollywood insider? Time will tell.
