Rehab singer Amy Winehouse was hospitalized over the weekend for 'tests' for lung and chest problems.

Earlier this year doctors diagnosed her with a mild form of emphesema and her weekend stay was to evaluate her condition.

Winehouse's spokesperson told People Magazine, "they wanted to do some tests as a precaution. Obviously she had lung and chest problems which she had treatment for not so long ago, so they're just making sure."

Winehouse is expected to be released today.

Amy Winehouse was treated for drug and alcohol abuse over the summer, and her condition is largely blamed on her copious consumption of cigarettes and crack cocaine. Her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil is currently serving a jail sentence for perverting justice after he attempted to pay off a man he attacked at a pub.
