The U.S. pop band the Jonas Brothers will make their big-screen acting debut in "Walter the Farting Dog."

Variety.com said William Kotzwinkle and Glenn Murray's series of books is being adapted into a family movie that will star musicians Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas, as well as their younger brother Frankie.

The movie is to start shooting next spring, with "Walter" producers Peter and Bobby Farrelly possibly coming on board to direct, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

The Jonas Brothers have appeared on the TV series "Hannah Montana" and in the television movie "Camp Rock."
