Leonard Marshall Gives Back
by Lupe Lasano in sports

So many times professional athletes are considered to be self-centered. They are labeled as only caring about their playing career and the money they get paid. But Leonard Marshall proves these theories wrong.

Leonard Marshall played on two Super Bowls with the New York Giants, and he was always considered to be one of the NFL's most giving players. But his compassion for his fellow man didn't diminish when he hung up his cleats. The problem he's tackling this time: the plight of retired NFL players who are not getting on well in life.
He wants to make sure that he doesn't injure any of the current campaigns, but Marshall think he and his friend who have designed "The GamePlan" can do a better job at helping those truly in need.
Marshall has kept himself busy with business since retiring from the NFL, but his thoughts haven't veered far from the players.
"I'm around so many people who care about former players, and that makes me think I'm going to be able to help," Marshall said. "You get all these phone calls from people who you want to help, but it's awfully hard to do that by yourself."
You have to hand it to Leonard Marshall, for being a class act on and off the field.
