Michael Crichton dead
Michael Crichton has died at the age of 66 after a battle with cancer. Crichton had successfully hidden his condition from the public.

In his career as a writer, Michael Crichton had over a dozen best-selling books. He is probably most famous for Jurassac Park.

A statement posted on his websites says his goodbyes.

"While the world knew him as a great storyteller that challenged our preconceived notions about the world around us - and entertained us all while doing so - his family and friends knew Michael Crichton as a devoted husband, loving father and generous friend who inspired each of us to strive to see the wonders of our world through new eyes."

"He did this with a wry sense of humour that those who were privileged to know him personally will never forget."

Crichton will also be remembered for his work on television due to his creation of ER, a series most notable for its' launch of George Clooney's acting career.
