Some people believe that the engine in the ZL1 is one that only those who can handle the strongest and fastest cars should drive. Because of its unique engine, it shaves about 300 pounds off of the total weight of the car. Imagine what this car could do for racing.

So where are the cars now? Rumor has it that the yellow car was seized in a 1989 drug raid and auctioned off $200,000 below its estimated value. The location of the white car is a mystery, but whoever owns it must know that they have a powerful and valuable classic in their garage.

The ZL1 Corvette was built with beauty and speed in mind and Chevrolet succeeded in this assignment. While never put to the test "on the record", it is assumed that this might be the one unbeatable car ever made.
