ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 9 (UPI) --
Hundreds of volunteers from 28 states searched for missing Florida 2-year-old Caylee Anthony Saturday in Orlando, officials said.
More than 1,400 searchers from as far away as Iowa and Puerto Rico combed through eastern Orange County, concentrating on the Orlando International Airport area, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported. The search, organized by Texas EquuSearch, had been suspended in September because of high water levels in the area.
"The truth needs to come out," said Debra Lopez, a grandmother from Winter Park, Fla. "People are in agony."
Caylee Anthony has been missing since June.
Her mother, Casey Anthony, 22, has been charged with first-degree murder in the girl's disappearance, and is also facing charges of aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter of a child and four counts of providing false information to law enforcement, the newspaper reported.
