The Phoenix Suns are on the verge of landing Shaquille O'Neal in a trade with Miami. The only thing holding up the trade is the need for O'Neal to take a physical for the Suns.

Shaq is heading to Phoenix today via private aircraft to receive that physical, which includes an MRI. Assuming he passes the physical, the trade will be made, and the Suns will send both Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks to the Heat.

O'Neal has been unhappy with the losing season in Miami and has expressed an interest in being traded to a winner. The Suns fit the bill and are interested in securing a "big man" who can push their fortunes over the top.

Although it might not be a marriage made in heaven, it does appear to be a marriage of convenience where both parties will be happier than they were before.
