Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are not feeling the pinch of the global economic crisis like so many are. The two are starring in High School Musical 3: Senior Year and that's a very lucrative job due to the extreme popularity of the franchise. Now the two stars are spending some of their loot.

Vanessa Hudgens recently plunked down $3 million for a new place, and Zac Efron gave her an impressive housewarming gift.

According to Star, Efron shelled out $50,000 for a genuine Louis Vitton steamer trunk.

"Vanessa loves Louis Vuitton, but she wouldn't spend the money for it," an insider tells Star. So Zac splurged for his sweetie!

"To her," the source told Star "it is a piece of art."

The two have been dating since 2006.
