Madonna is considering hooking up with Alex Rodriguez, but she doesn't exactly trust the Yankees slugger. Therefore, Madge has employed several of her friends to keep an eye on A-Rod to make sure his Stray-Rod tendencies don't quickly re-surface.



A-Rod was recently partying at the Fontainebleu Hotel, and Madge had two of her closest friends keep A-Rod within their sights. Both Ingrid Caesares and Gwyneth Paltrow were needed for the job because A-Rod's tendency to stray is as legendary as his homerun hitting prowess.

At one point a hottie tried to get her meathooks into A-Rod, but to no avail, thanks to the work of Madge's disciples.

"She wedged herself in between A-Rod and the brunette and didn't even acknowledge that the other woman was there," an insider told OK!. "Ingrid diverted Alex's attention and made sure to keep him deep in conversation."

It looks like Madge has her work cut out for her if she plans on keeping A-Rod on the straight and narrow.
