Taylor Swift is a big star these days, but it wasn't always that way for the 18 year old singer. In high school Swift grew up on a Christmas tree farm and was constantly ridiculed by classmates.

"A lot of girls thought I was weird. Actually, the word they liked to use was annoying," Swift told Women's Health. "I'd sit at their lunch table and they'd move to a different one."

Swift got over the abuse and went out in the world and became a famous singer. It hasn't made her that much more popular these days.

"It's funny - I thought my contact list in my phone would grow if I was in the music industry," she said. "But I had more people in my phone book when I was in high school!"
