FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Nov. 20 (UPI) --
Authorities in Framingham, Mass., said they are attempting to determine the origins of butcher-quality cuts of mystery meat dumped on the Town Center common.
Police said someone has been placing meat cuts at the location at least once a week for the past two weeks, WCVB-TV, Boston, reported Thursday.
Investigators said the most recent find in the town square consisted of what appeared to liver and assorted bones. Police said they are sending the meat to a state lab for testing.
Residents who commonly walk their dogs in the area said they are concerned that the meat might be poisonous and potentially harmful to their pets.
