Taboo Of Black-Eye Peas Arrested For Drugs

It's not easy being the Indian guy in "The Black-Eyed Peas", or so it would appear on news of the arrest of Taboo. The artist is alleged to have been working on his own solo album when the arrest occurred.

Mexican/Shoshone descent rapper Taboo Nawasha "Jaime Luis Gomez", 31 of the Black Eyed Peas (consisting also of will.i.am, Fergie, and apl.de.ap) has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor drug possession at a hearing that took place on Thursday, May 10, 2007. This charge comes from a minor car crash that occurred in March 07 where the rapper was cited as having possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of a prescribed medication without a prescription and driving under the influence. During that time Taboo was booked in LA and released a few hours later after posting $5,000 bail.

Taboo faces a maximum $200 fine if convicted.

The Black Eyed Peas rapper is due back in court on May 25 to face charges.".
