NBC.com to air producer's cut of 'Office'

BURBANK, Calif., Nov. 21 (UPI) --

NBC says it plans to post online a special "producer's cut" of the most recent episode of the U.S. version of "The Office."

Starting Tuesday, users can log onto NBC.com to stream the expanded edition of the Nov. 20 episode, which will include additional scenes and extra footage not shown on television.

The announcement was made Friday by Vivi Zigler, president of NBC Universal Digital Entertainment.

"What fan of 'The Office' wouldn't want to see more?" Zigler said in a statement. "There is such great material with 'The Office' and it doesn't always fit into the TV show. We're thrilled to let the online fans see the full version."

Based on the British comedy series starring Ricky Gervais, the U.S. version of "The Office" features an ensemble cast that includes Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer.
